Meet Kuro

Kuro showed up uninvited to the Mariposas gym one rainy Tuesday and simply refused to leave. Nobody minded. With ink-dark tabby stripes that blur at the edges like a painting left out in the mist, a perpetually pink nose, and four little white socks that never seem to get dirty, Kuro projects an air of effortless composure that is frankly aspirational. It will sit beside your yoga mat looking deeply unbothered, then suddenly sprint three laps around the weight room for reasons only it understands. When you hit your final rep, Kuro slow-blinks at you from across the room, which everyone agrees is basically a standing ovation. Its long, bushy dark tail curls into a question mark when you take too long between sets. The blush on its cheeks never fades. Rumor has it Kuro has watched every sunrise stretch session without missing one.
